HYAA Baseball Academy is Open!

Baseball Academy Opens Sunday-
One of our goals at HYAA is to provide opportunity for kids who want to futher their skill development through extra practice time and coaching. We believe that this opportunity should be open to any child who participates in our baseball league who who wants to participate. Those who come will be expected to pay attention, work hard and have fun learning.
To accomplish our goal, beginning this Sunday (weather permitting) and continuing through the last Sunday in February, we will offer our Baseball Academy (Sundays only). The Academy is open to all players of all skill levels age 7 and up. Academy will go from 1pm-3pm at North Meck Park.
Please arrive early and meet at the picnic shelter for sign in. There is no charge. Academy will serve as an ongoing evaluation of players who desire to play challenge or travel baseball.

When registering for the first time in our new system you will be required to set up a user name and password. The user name will be your email address; once entered the system will send your password to that email address.
You will need to enter that password in order to proceed. Please note that some email systems may treat this as SPAM and send your password notification to your SPAM folder.
If you are waiting for your password to come through and there is a delay it is recommended that you check your SPAM filter.
Baseball Softball Skills Day

Spring baseball and softball registration will open on January 21, skills assessments will begin the week of February 27 and games will begin on March 24. Tryouts for the travel teams will be held late January/early February. Details to follow.

BASKETBALL UPDATE
As we approach the midseason, it is time to start thinking about HYAA Basketball Playoffs.
Playoffs for everyone 6 and over will begin the week of Feb. 12-17. Games will be played Monday through Thursday for all divisions at the normal HPRD/HYAA gyms.
Second round playoff games will be Saturday, Feb. 18. 5U teams will play their final games that morning as well.
Third round games will be played Monday-Thursday, Feb. 20-23.
Championship games will be played Saturday, Feb. 25th.
HYAA Basketball All-Star Day will be Sunday, Feb. 26th.
